James: Faith + Action

This week week we’ll be studying James 4:13-17 as we talk about the dangers of prosperitypresumption & pride. Plus, we’ll be addressing the sin of omission. Our sin involves more than the wrong things we do; it also involves the things we fail to do, that we should have done.  All of this might sound too theological or heady, but it’s really quite practical and relevant to our daily living.

I hope that you’ll make plans to join us at either our 9 am or 10:30 am service.  And, bring your friends!

I look forward to seeing you,

Bob

Restore

THIS SUNDAY, at 6 pm, we host our monthly healing service called Restore in our church sanctuary. Please help us get the word out to friends and family – even strangers, those who you feel might be in need of this vital ministry!

It has been my overwhelming experience that healing is not about praying the right words, or finding the right person to lay hands on us, but rather about persistence in prayer. Time-and-time-again I have seen God work miracles as His people persist in prayer, petitioning Him to unleash His divine power against evil, injustice and the broken things of this life!

Won’t you come join us as we persist together as a family, as a body of believers, who are convinced that God is able!

I’m confident that this will quite possibly be the most significant and powerful hour that you will engage in all week long!

You + beer + grilled food + your buddies = helping kids overcome child abuse.

Labor and sex trafficking are a tragic reality not only internationally but also right here in Ventura County. Grab a buddy, drink some beers, and show your support for children who have been abused. It's time for men to take a stand against people for sale.

The event is hosted by Enegren Brewing Company in Moorpark CA. Each ticket includes one beer of choice and one BBQ meal from the Farm and Flame food truck. Additional food and beverage for purchase. This is an open event.

Forever Found is a faith-based 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention, rescue and restoration of human trafficking. We support aftercare homes in Northern California, India, Thailand, and Ethiopia and provide community based services to at-risk and trafficked youth throughout Ventura County.
