Today, we take a look at the fact that we are blessed. Until we realize we are blessed, we can never be a blessing. God has blessed us in order that we might bless others.
This Sunday we’ll be focusing on the amazing reality that, now – because of Jesus, we are Beloved! Wow! This is not merely a status change; it’s an identity change!
This week is our last teaching in the book of Colossians. We’ll be covering chapters 3 & 4 and talking about the practical difference that Christ makes in our lives.
The Apostle Paul writes to this young Colossian church from a prison cell to refute the heresy they were hearing by lifting up Jesus as the answer, as the One in whom we are made complete and whole, as opposed to the empty human philosophies that the false teachers were prescribing.
Colossians is filled with verses that convey thankfulness, gratefulness, praise and appreciation. And, how fitting that we should study this and learn from this as we anticipate celebrating Thanksgiving!

Have you ever experienced the sting of betrayal? The unfaithful words or behavior of a boss, a coworker, a friend, a spouse, a relative, a son, or a daughter? I believe that the sting of betrayal is proportional to the closeness of the relationship. This Sunday, we’ll be examining Christ’s betrayal and arrest at Gethsemane.
This Sunday we’ll be discussing Jesus’ experience at Gethsemane, sharing communion together and saying farewell to the Begert family.
