Is the devil really real? Are his demons actually concerned with us? Do we really need to think about these things?

This week in Ephesians we turn to the well-known “Armor of God” passage (6:10–18). While it might feel like a sudden change in Paul’s letter, his concern for the unseen spiritual battle has been building all along.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to prepare our hearts and minds for this battle. Many years ago, A.W. Tozer wrote, “The idea that this world is a playground instead of a battleground has now been accepted in practice by the vast majority of Christians.” That statement feels even more true today.
