TAKE THE EASTER 2019 CHALLENGE
Have you seen the postcards in the lobby? There are thousands available. I would like to challenge each person to take 10 postcards home and address them and mail them Monday morning to anyone you would like to invite to Easter Service. Let’s see how many cards we can get mailed beyond the church’s 2700 that were mailed out this week!

90 YEARS SUNRISE SERVICE @THE CROSS!
This year will be the 90th year of Sunrise Services on Easter Morning at the Cross! We need your help! We are looking for people willing to bake muffins or breakfast breads. If you are able to help with this, please contact Carol Eiland eilandgram@gmail.com or 805.208.1756
If you are available for setup/tear down at the Cross, please let us know that as well. Many hands make for a light work load.

As Jesus enters Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, he is adored. As Jesus exits the city mere days later, he is mocked and scorned. This Sunday at CBC, we look at the expectations of Jesus in Luke 19:28-48.

If you want to help the friends and family you invite to know what to expect on Easter, have them listen to this Live recording from Easter at CBC last year! We will also have a full band and string quartet this year!

So, did you take my challenge and pray about who to invite to Easter in a few weeks!? So often, when we think of “worship”, we think of music, but worship has to do with full obedience to God in every part of our lives, and that includes living out the Great Commission! I heard a quote recently, “It’s better to be obedient and wrong than disobedient and right.” So maybe the person or people you invite to Easter won’t come, but God will honor our obedience in stepping out in faith to invite them! I look forward to worshiping with you this week!

Church Campout!
It’s our first annual church family camping trip. Tents and RVs welcome (but no hookups). Sage Hill Campground is off Paradise Rd. at a beautiful spot on the Santa Ynez River. Our group spot can accomodate 50 people, and it’s only $5 per adult, or $20 per family for the whole weekend!
