THIS SUNDAY : SEPTEMBER 1, 2019: Missions Conference & Lunch!
This Sunday, September 1, some of our missionaries will be speaking. Guest speakers include Nate Johnson with Cadence International; Phil Kingsley with Greater Europe Mission; and Cyril Gordon with Jewish Outreach International. We are excited to have them share with us what has been happening in their ministries as well as have lunch after.
STAY FOR LUNCH! We would love to have you and your family join us for lunch after 2nd service. We will be serving sandwiches and many are bringing side dishes to share. Starting Wednesday, September 25, come join us for EMPOWER – a night of connection, encouragement and learning – as we process powerful truths together! We’ll be drawing wisdom from proven teachers like Tony Evans, Chip Ingram, Andy Stanley, and others who have the gift of distilling practical principles into bite-size action steps.
This night is FREE and is designed for parents of youth (middle school/high school aged kids). But, everyone is welcome!
Each session will begin with a 15 minute interactional social time of refreshments and getting to know each other, followed by a 20-30 minute video teaching, and concluding with 30 minutes of processing/discussion facilitated by Pastor Bob DuPar.
The format of each Wednesday night is designed so that you can drop off your kids at youth group, and then receive valuable resources and training that helps grow you as a parent. This beats trying to run random errands until you’ve got to come back to pick up your kids!
EMPOWER begins Wednesday, September 25, at 6:30 pm in CBC’s main auditorium.

We are taking sign ups for a missions trip to La Montana Christian Camps April 4-11, 2020. We will begin sending out information, having meetings, and raising funds in September. If you are thinking about joining this trip, please sign up in the lobby or email josiah@cbcventura.org to be put on the information list.
CBC is partnering with Embrace Church for their DreamFest 2019, an exciting outreach ministry that brings the Gospel to the migrant field workers who live in our agriculture rich county. They need people to volunteer to help with the festival as well as financial support.
