Donations Needed!
The Community Bible Church Food Pantry needs food this month! We have a calendar conflict during the month of June that means we won’t get food donations from Whole Foods and Sprouts, so we need donations of fresh food!
We need:
Milk (gallons or half gallons whole, 2%, etc)
Breads (sandwich bread, bagels, rolls, etc)
Family Portions of Meat fresh or frozen
Cheese
Yogurt (for kids or the elderly)
Lettuce
Fruit
Crackers
Donations can be dropped off at the church during office hours Monday-Thursday 9am-2pm or Sunday 8am-12pm. The two days we will hand out food are June 8 and June 22. Contact Marin to coordinate drop offs at other times: marin@cbcventura.org

This summer, we will be doing our midweek programing a little different. Both middle school and high school will meet together, and there will be programs offered on Monday and Wednesday nights. Here is how those nights will look:
For both Middle School and High School:
Monday’s:
7 – 8:30 @ CBC
We will be joining with the CBC family for the Explore God series. Students can sit with families, and we will have a table set aside for youth that I will be facilitating at. The hope is that this series will give students a place to have open conversation about a variety of relevant and necessary topics to strengthen and encourage students to love God and engage with those around them.
Wednesday’s:
Times and Locations Vary
On Wednesday nights beginning June 19, we will be meeting at different homes and parks for nights of fun and fellowship. Nights will include food, swimming, movies and lots of fun! I’ll be sending out weekly reminders of where and when we will be meeting and if you can bring anything.
College/Young Adults
Meets every Tuesday from 7:30 – 9 pm.We’ll be meeting at various locations throughout the summer. Please contact myself or Brenna Pitman (805.340.0904) to get on the college/young adult text chain for additional information.

Hi Friends,
This week in Luke 8:22-39 we read about Jesus exercising the kind of power and authority that only YAHWEH, God Almighty – the God of the Old Testament, was capable of – at least according to the understanding of 1st century Jews. Jesus calms the seas. Only YAHWEH had power over the evil and chaos of nature. And, Jesus exorcises 6,000 demons from a severely possessed man!
Needless to say, these events caught the attention of both the disciples and the general public.
I believe that the practical point of connection and application for us has to do with the subject of Allegiance. Come join us this Sunday at either our 9 am or 10:30 service and I’ll explain more about this.
