This week we’ll be looking at John 8:1-11 in our teaching time.  This passage is commonly known as the story of the woman caught in adultery.  But, as I like to say - it’s really about religious leaders caught in hypocrisy!  There’s debate about whether this text should be included in Scripture; and, we’ll discuss that in our time together on Sunday.  The fact that I’ll be teaching on it shows you my bias.  I believe that it’s profitable for teaching and application because (a) It doesn’t contradict the rest of Scripture, and (b) It doesn’t introduce new theology from what we consider to be sound and biblical.
