GK Chesterton once said, “Jesus didn’t come to make bad people good; He came to make dead people alive.” This Sunday, as we dive into Ephesians 2:1-5, we’re reminded that Jesus didn’t come to merely make us “better people.” He came because we were spiritually lifeless and without hope. Yet, because of His great love for us, He made us alive in Christ!

From the very beginning, God has been the giver of life. In Genesis 2:7, the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being. But since then, all of humanity has strayed, and every one of us is in need of rescue.
