This week we’ll be looking at Genesis 16 in our teaching time. It’s the story of Hagar, Abraham & Sarah’s maidservant.
Sometimes in life we are the helpless victims of other people’s sin; but, there are other times that we bear the responsibility for contributing to our own hurt. What does it mean that God gets all of this, that He understands? That He is there for us, regardless? As we continue our series KNOWN this Sunday, that’s our theme: Understood! I encourage you to read Hagar’s story ahead of time. There are just 16 short verses in Genesis 16. It’s a quick read! There’s a lot to identify with, as well as plenty of stuff to try and avoid!
