This week in Luke 8:22-39, we read about Jesus exercising the kind of power and authority that only YAHWEH, God Almighty - the God of the Old Testament, was capable of - at least according to the understanding of 1st century Jews. Jesus calms the seas. Only YAHWEH had power over the evil and chaos of nature. And, Jesus exorcises 6,000 demons from a severely possessed man! Needless to say, these events caught the attention of both the disciples and the general public.

I believe that the practical point of connection and application for us has to do with the subject of Allegiance.
